Adult Learners Council

North Dakota University System

"We are increasingly being challenged in meeting the education and training needs of an ever changing state, nation, and world. This challenge is particularly demanding in North Dakota with a decreasing number of traditional college age students (17 to 23) and an increasing number of adults who are ages 24 to 45. Even without a demographic shift, working adults will need continued education and training in order to remain competitive in the ever-changing job market. To address these issues, the North Dakota University System is forming the Adult Learners Council with membership from education, business, military and veterans, commerce, financial, and the private sector." ...William Goetz, Chancellor, NDUS
